Habitat Malešice is a new innovative low-energy project in Malešice that brings a modern lifestyle with respect to ecology and sustainability. This emerging urban neighbourhood aims to combine people, homes, urban flora and fauna with modern technology to create a harmonious and sustainable environment for all its residents.
The Habitat Malešice project represents the transformation of a formerly industrial area into an attractive urban neighbourhood with its own ecosystem. Malešice, which was an agricultural village at the beginning of the 20th century, is now a modern neighbourhood that draws on its historical roots and focuses on the future. The district will make full use of modern technologies and trends, such as the ‘sponge city‘ concept for efficient stormwater management, and will promote biodiversity with meadow flowers, insect hotels and birdhouses.
Habitat Malešice also meets the strict conditions of the BREEAM sustainability certificate. The apartments are equipped with smart home technologies, allowing for example control of blinds and other devices, and are ready for working from home thanks to specially designed work areas. The first phase of the project includes 124 residential units and 6 commercial spaces, with layouts ranging from 1 bedroom to 4 bedrooms. Malešice is strategically located in the east of Prague and is an important gateway to and from the city. Habitat Malešice promotes the urban concept of a 15-minute city, where all key services, work and leisure activities can be reached within fifteen minutes. The district has excellent transport links, both by public transport and by car. The project also emphasises green spaces and relaxation zones, which will be complemented by exercise features, running tracks, cycle paths and play areas for children.
